Family Service has many groups and local businesses that assist our mission.  Some organizations make ongoing financial contributions to our programs while others donate to assist the people we serve.  Several local businesses provide us with regular in-kind donations of supplies, space, or services.  All these gifts have made it possible for Family Service to keep serving about one in ten people in our community–maybe you or someone in your family or neighborhood.  Our partners make a vital impact as we respond to the needs of the elderly and those with socio-economic challenges in this recession.

Meals on Wheels Community Partners

This volunteer program allows business and service groups to give back to the community, serve the elderly, and increase group unity during a lunch break. Our Meals on Wheels community partners understand that involving their employees or members in community service is a great way to develop relationships and foster teamwork. Their employees or members agree to adopt a route and deliver it at least once every month.

Partners and recipients benefit from the consistency and growing familiarity. It’s wonderful to meet the people you serve and see the difference you make. Another bonus for our partners is the bonding that naturally occurs between the two people from their group delivering together. Some of our partners have additionally made financial donations to and/or hosted fundraisers for Meals on Wheels. We want to thank all our partners for their generosity.
