The Impact of your gift
Family Service is playing crucial roles in this pandemic. The senior population is the fastest growing group in our country and the most at-risk group from COVID. Our home-based services provided by staff and volunteers keep them sheltering at home as needed. Our volunteers provide rides to medical appointments and deliver groceries and meals. Our friendly calls, home-delivered art kits combat social isolation. Our healthy aging classes teach seniors how to cope with the changes they’re facing to enjoy living.
Family Service is a leader in social solutions that are helping our community continue to thrive. Senior Task Force (that we chair) has created C-U Wise TV with weekly topics of interest to seniors. Our staff connect individuals experiencing challenge with 100+ area support groups. Trained therapists help individuals, couples and families to combat stress and depression. Families experiencing divorce or separation are provided with classes to learn how to co-parent effectively protecting their children from trauma and loss. All services are provided virtually as needed.
Family Service is a private, non-profit agency so we rely on the support of generous donors. Your donations are critical to our ability to meet current needs as grants and fees do not cover the cost of our services. We need to expand our services to meet the growing demands of this community. Your unrestricted donation gives us the maximum flexibility to meet the greatest needs.
